Things to know before starting your studies
STEOP - The introductory and orientation phase
The STEOP is designed to give you an overview of the content of your degree program. Until it has been completed, i.e. all courses have been successfully completed, you can take examinations amounting to a maximum of 22 ECTS credits (in accordance with the registration requirements specified in the curriculum).
Curriculum Support
The app "My studies (Curriculum Support)" in UNIGRAZonline gives you an overview of your studies, your courses and your progress. You have to assign your completed achievements in the app yourself on an ongoing basis. We will support you with instructions.
If you would like to cancel an option or rebook a course, please contact urbi.anerkennung(at)uni-graz.at.
Basic module
The basic module comprises introductory courses that facilitate orientation at the beginning of the degree program. It consists of a subject-specific, a faculty-wide and a university-wide part. Looking beyond your own subject area is intended to promote interdisciplinarity and give you initial access to networked thinking.
A certificate can be obtained by completing all parts of the basic module (a. to d.).

International Affairs
More and more students are taking the opportunity to gain experience abroad during their studies. Various mobility programs and university networks (such as Erasmus) offer support. A frequently expressed fear is that a semester or year abroad would extend the duration of studies. This can be counteracted with careful planning and an appropriate selection of courses taken at the host university.
Internship abroad
Wouldn't it be interesting to combine an internship with a stay abroad and thus multiply the experience that awaits you in practice? It has recently become possible to apply for a financial grant from the Erasmus mobility program for internships abroad. This applies to both compulsory and voluntary internships. Funding is available for full-time internships with a minimum duration of 3 months.
