More and more students are already taking the chance to accrue experience abroad during their studies. Therefore, at the university different mobility programs and networks (such as Erasmus) are offering assistance. A concern often mentioned is that a semester or year abroad might prolong the duration of study. However, careful planning and selection of courses at the host university may prevent this.
Would it not be interesting to link a traineeship with a stay abroad, thus gaining even more experience? The possibility to apply for a financial grant from the Erasmus-Mobility Program while engaging in an internship abroad exists! This applies to compulsory internships as well as to voluntary ones. However, only full-time internships of a period of at least three months are sponsored.
